अध्ययन · every weekend, somewhere in Raipur
A notebook, a pen,
and whoever shows up.
Every weekend, Raipur's writers gather — at a lakefront, a courtyard, sometimes just a café corner — to read their pages out loud. Come with something you wrote this week, or write it there, on the spot.
The regimented crowd
Every crowd believes it is acting on its own, but before it becomes a regime, it becomes a habit. A slogan. A silence. A crowd moving in the same direction. The Regimented Crowd is the first session in our August theme, The Anatomy of Fascism. We'll explore the session from understanding the book, Animal Farm by George Orwell and will use it as a way to think together about conformity, propaganda, power, obedience, etc, not as distant political ideas, but as things that can quietly shape everyday life. No prior reading or political knowledge is required. Just come with curiosity and a willingness to be part of the conversation :)
This week's prompt
"Understanding fascism through animal farm"

What happens at a session
Whether it's your first time writing or you carry a notebook everywhere, there's a seat for you at our table.
Write
Come with a piece you wrote earlier in the week, or take twenty minutes to write on the spot using our weekly Raipur prompt.
Read it out loud
Read to an encouraging circle — gentle feedback, open discussion. Brought an object? Tell us the story behind it too; we call these Item Stories.
Photograph and recap
We close each session with a group photo, a short recap, and an archive of everything read that day.
Community archive
