Anyways, I started reading each annotated paragraph carefully. The marks of the blue ink scattered at the edges of the pages, with a few drops of tears in the middle of the paragraph.
It was shocking for me because the book was nowhere a sad or disheartening book. "Then why these tears?" I asked myself.
I continued reading it and I felt the person's emotions as mine. I felt their way of understanding a book, a life. I felt that person was 'me'. Internally, I'm loving these annotated paragraphs, the person who did this but externally, I'm confused about these disagreements marked in the book. The "no"; the "I hated it" feels like the person really felt it personally and wrote it, while a few annotated words like, "I loved this line"; "She deserves this!!" made me feel her satisfaction.
While, I was about to complete this 108 pages of the book where I annotated a few paragraphs which I loved, a few paragraphs which I disagreed with as well. But there was a small note in the last page of the book. "Did that person keep this note?" I asked myself curiously. The note was, "Every chapter of this particular book felt personal to me. Somewhere I laughed, somewhere I cried, and somewhere I totally hated this book. The next person, whoever reads this book, read it whole heartedly. You might like the book or you might not, but, you'll end up annotating any single paragraph atleast which you'll disagree with completely and you'll thank me later.
The anonymous 💗."
I believed this person and indeed at the end, I annotated a few lines in paragraphs, in pages which I completely disagreed with. Thank you to that anonymous person.
